Turkey, ham, stuffing, pie, green bean casserole, candy jams, family, board games…This is what most people see Thanksgiving as. However, we all love the food but sometimes forget the real meaning behind Thanksgiving, to give thanks.

As this Holiday is fast approaching, let’s not forget to give thanks for all your successes this year. At Ignite Fitness we are thankful for each and every client we have. We are also thankful for their health and well-being.

Now you know I cannot write a fit tip without any helpful hints so here you go…

If you have been in the gym hitting it hard for the past months, don’t sabotage yourself with one single meal (Thanksgiving). I am not telling you to not eat, I am simply stating, be mindful of your choices. When eating turkey, reach for the white meat, don’t smother your plate in gravy, and limit yourself on the pie. What people always forget, go for a walk, or bike ride, or a nice hard work out prior to dinner. This will get that metabolism firing on all cylinders and ultimately, help you make better decisions before sitting down around the table with friends and family.
