Warm-up: 5-7 minutes on Elliptical

Weighted Chest Dips: 4 X 12, 10, 8, 8

Flat Barbell Chest Press: 4 X 8, 8, 8, 8

Flat Dumbbell chest Fly’s: 4 X 12, 12, 12, 12

Incline Dumbbell Chest Fly’s: 3 X 12, 12, 12, 12

Pushups: 3 X FAILURE

Friends don’t let friends skip leg day! Ignite Fitness Tucson, Matt and Mark (M&M) bring you an intense leg session. This routine is primarily quad dominant, that means you could throw another leg routine in far later in the week targeting more hamstring movements. As I get ready for my show I would like to bring up some lagging body parts (my quads in this case). This routine is tricky. Be sure to go light on some of the weights (for example, the pause squats) minimize the time you have to drop the weights off, so start light and work your way up. Good luck! Leg Extensions: 4 X 25, 25, 25, 25*

Barbell Front Squat: 5 X 20, 12, 12, 8, 8

Bulgarian Split Squat: 4 X 15, 12, 12, 8

Pause Squats: 3 X 20**, 20**, 20**

Body weight Walking Lunges: 1 X 100 Total

* On the last set, hold of one second before releasing

** No pause at the top of the movement but a dead stop at the bottom

Women, want that nice, tight, slender midsection? Do this routine. Most people don’t know this but working the lower lat. Muscle will tighten the midsection giving you a nice hourglass shape or for men, the V-tapper. Good luck! Chin-ups: 1 X Failure
Inverted Rows: 1 X Failure

You get all of it. By beginning biceps with a straight set and then finishing them off with a heavy circuit leaves your biceps screaming. The same thing is set up for the triceps. Good luck! Seated Calf Raise: 3 X 6-8

Standing Calf Raises: 3 X 6-8

Chin-Ups: 2 X 10

Barbell Curls: 9 X 10, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2*, 1*, 1*, 1*

a) Seated Alternating Dumbbell Curls: 3** X 3 each arm

b) Seated Alternating Hammer Curls: 3** X 3 each arm

C) EZ Bar Preacher Curls: 3** X 6w/ one and a quarter rep (at the top)

Dumbbell Overhead Tricep Extensions: 6 X 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 2

a) Dumbbell Skull Crushers: 3*** X 5

b) Cable Push-downs: 3*** X 10

c) Weighted Dips: 3*** X 10

*Add 5 second negatives on each rep.

**After the 3rd round do an additional 4th round with a lighter weight for 10-15 reps of each exercise.
